No. Best Self Groups L.L.C is considered extra curricular or enrichment. Best Self Groups L.L.C. is not considered mental health treatment, rather educational skills. All groups are considered private pay.

No. Groups are designed for all children to learn SEL strategies and tools. All children are welcome to join the group. There are no specific diagnostic profiles required to participate. All are welcome!

Groups will be held at two locations:

1) Children’s Piazza

83 Pine St f, Peabody, MA 01960

(Park by the soccer fields)

2) 491 Massachusetts Avenue, Arlington MA. 02476 Suite 208.

The Mass Ave entrance door is next to the Wood and Strings Music store. Please walk directly up the stairs to the office.

Street parking and a public parking lot directly behind the building are available.

Yes, the Arlington office has a space for parents to wait until the group is over.

The Chidren’s Piazza has a coffee shop for parents to wait in.

If a group session is cancelled due to weather or staff illness, the group will be notified about a make up session.

If a child misses a group session due to illness, vacation, or schedule conflict, there are no make up sessions available at this time.

Students who work with Mrs. Connell at school will not be able to participate in Best Self Groups at this time. However, Mrs Connell is happy to help find your family alternative resources to support your child.

Starting something new can bring out a variety of emotions. All feelings are welcome here! Lydia will send a social story before the first group to help with your child’s transition.
